Thatch & Core Aeration

About Core Aeration
Core Aeration is simply the removal of hundreds of small soil plugs from lawn, which allows air, water and fertilizer to better reach the roots. This stimulates root growth to create healthier, stronger grass.

Key Benefits of Core Aeration
●  Improves turf health by increasing the soil’s access to air, water, and fertilizer.

●  Aids thatch and compaction management by punching holes in the thatch layer and introducing thatch-decomposing microorganisms from deep in the soil

●  Relieves soil compaction by decreasing soil density to support better absorption of moisture and nutrients

● Accelerates pH modification by allowing lime or sulphur treatments to penetrate deeper into the soil profile

●  Improves results of overseeding by promoting seed-to-soil contact and creating an optimal growth environment

Time to Aerate
The Spring and Fall are the best times to aerate.   WHY?  Because warm days and cool nights along with natural moisture provide optimum conditions for Aeration.

Remember, where the air and oxygen flow the roots will grow.  Let American Tree Maintenance core aerate your lawn for a healthier, better layer of thatch in your lawn.
